Founded on April 6, 2021, in the quaint town of Ghatal, West Bengal by Debasish Maity, Bong Pizza began with a vision to revolutionize the pizza experience in India's Tier 3 and Tier 4 cities. What started as a humble establishment has grown into a multi-cuisine restaurant chain with 24 outlets across West Bengal, and expansions into Patna (Bihar), Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Ranchi (Jharkhand), and New Delhi.
Before launching Bong Pizza, Debasish Maity, a former Deputy Finance Manager, developed deep consumer insights through his regional food delivery app, Yammy Foods. Identifying a gap in the market for quality pizza experiences in smaller towns, he embarked on a mission to bring premium, affordable dining to places that had never seen it before.

While pizza remains at the heart of our brand, Bong Pizza has embraced the diverse tastes of its customers by offering a wide range of cuisines, including Indian, Chinese, Tandoori, and Continental dishes. This diversity ensures that there is something delightful for everyone, making it a favorite for families and food enthusiasts alike.
Our journey of excellence was recognized in June 2022 when Bong Pizza won the Best Restaurant Outside the City award at Bengal's largest food and lifestyle event, BONG-GO PRENEUR, organized by Bhoj Adda. This acknowledgment has only fueled our ambitions further. In May 2025, Bong Pizza was also honored with the BIG IMPACT AWARD by Big FM, a testament to our continued growth and impact in the food industry. With plans to introduce more regional dishes and expand across India, Bong Pizza is set to redefine casual dining in more cities.
Our growth story continues with the acquisition of Burhan's, a renowned Mughlai restaurant chain, further enriching our multi-cuisine offerings. Bong Pizza's umbrella also includes Ground Zero, a non-alcoholic pub with a vibrant nightlife experience, and Sadher Biryani, which serves authentic biryani and Mughlai dishes.
